INTRASITE GEL (Smith & Nephew) is indicated for the removal of non-viable tissue from superficial, subcutaneous and deep wounds (including decubitus, trophic ulcers of the extremities, diabetic foot ulcers, malignized ulcers, burns, surgical wounds, vessels, amputation wounds), fungal, as well as for the treatment of granulating deep wounds, excoriations and radiation burns.

INTRASITE GEL is used in combination with dressings. The choice of dressing and the frequency of dressings depends on the type of wound surface:

  • Wounds with necrotic tissue areas: a dressing with a breathable layer is used along with the gel. For example, OPSITE FLEXIFIX.
  • Wounds with crusts: together with Intrasite Gel, a dressing with a moisture-absorbing layer is used. For example, MELOLIN or ALLEVYN NON-ADHESIVE.
  • Lacerations: a hydrogel and a filmic or desiccant dressing is used. For example, OPSITE FLEXIGRID /ALLEVYN NON-ADHESIVE.
