BeFlow stent for the treatment of iliac artery stenosis and thrombosis

BeFlow Stent System

The BeFlow iliac stent system is a covered stent designed for the endovascular treatment of stenotic lesions in the iliac arteries and the restoration of their patency.

The system is specifically engineered for precise deployment at the lesion site and reliable vessel lumen support. The ePTFE covering and frame design ensure implantation stability and reduce the risk of restenosis (re-narrowing). The stent is implanted using an OTW (Over-the-Wire) catheter over a 0.035” guidewire under fluoroscopic control, allowing for accurate positioning within the iliac artery.

Indications for Use

The BeFlow covered stent system is indicated for permanent placement in the lumen of the iliac arteries to restore and improve patency compromised by atherosclerosis or other stenotic lesions treatable by stenting. It is optimal for stenoses requiring permanent intraluminal stent placement.

BeFlow (Bentley) Key Features

  • Delivery System: Compatible with 0.035” (0.89 mm) guidewires and 6–7 F introducers; the catheter has a working length of up to 75 cm.

  • Radiopaque Markers: Two platinum-iridium markers located under the balloon catheter identify the position of the BeFlow covered stent and fluoroscopically indicate the working length of the balloon.

Stent Design

  • The balloon-expandable stent features an open-cell design, ensuring controlled expansion and excellent adaptation to the anatomy of the iliac artery.

  • Available Sizes: Diameters of 7–10 mm and lengths of 37–57 mm.

Materials and Biocompatibility

  • The CoCr (Cobalt-Chrome) frame and ePTFE covering guarantee stability, durability, and high biocompatibility.

Post-Thrombectomy Support

The stent is effectively used following thrombus removal (thrombectomy or thrombolysis) to maintain vessel patency and prevent restenosis.
