The Calima™ Convective Warming System by Medtronic is a medical solution designed to maintain normothermia and prevent hypothermia in patients. The system uses forced-air warming, which is one of the most effective methods for preventing serious complications associated with heat loss during surgical procedures. The Calima™ system represents an advanced continuation of the WarmTouch™ convective warming system line.

Thanks to its compact design, mobility, and a wide range of specialized blankets, the system is suitable for use in various medical facilities and departments, including:

Intensive Care Units
 Its compact size and light weight allow the device to be easily positioned next to the patient or mounted on an IV pole.

Operating Rooms
 The blanket design allows use throughout all stages of the patient’s stay in the operating room and surgical department.

Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Departments
 The availability of special perforated blankets ensures effective warming during surgical procedures, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Advantages of the Calima™ Convective Warming System

Multifunctionality
Four temperature settings (ambient temperature, 38°C, 43°C, 45°C) and three turbine speed levels allow precise adjustment of warming to meet patient needs.

High level of safety and control
Built-in safety mechanisms ensure accurate maintenance of the set temperature, while visual and audible alarms immediately notify of overheating, missing filter, or end of filter life.

Ergonomics
With a low weight (6 kg) and compact dimensions (280 × 284 × 283 mm), the device can be easily mounted on an IV pole, placed on a cart, or positioned next to the patient.

Ease of use
An intuitive control panel and a lightweight, flexible hose with a secure connector enable quick and easy connection to the blankets.
